Distributed Bags & Notebooks — Government High School, Kombukuttai

Date: Jul 28, 2026
Location: Government High School, Kombukuttai

Summary:

On July 28, 2026, Rural Visionary Foundation visited Government High School, Kombukuttai and distributed school bags and notebooks to the students. Kombukuttai is the village where our foundation began its work, and returning to its school each year has become one of the most meaningful parts of our education programme.

The start of an academic year places a quiet but heavy burden on rural families. Bags, notebooks and basic stationery are small costs on their own, yet together they can be difficult to meet for households that depend on daily wages or seasonal farm income. By covering these essentials, we hope to remove one more reason for a child to fall behind or stay away from the classroom.

Each student received a sturdy school bag along with a set of notebooks for the year. Our volunteers spent time with the students and teachers during the visit, listening to what the school needs most and understanding the challenges the children face in continuing their studies. The teachers shared that timely access to these materials makes a visible difference to attendance and classroom participation in the opening weeks of the term.

We are grateful to the headmaster and staff of Government High School, Kombukuttai for their support in organising the programme, and to our donors and well-wishers who make these visits possible. Rural Visionary Foundation will continue to stand alongside the students of this school and the surrounding villages, so that no child's education is interrupted for want of something as basic as a notebook.
